Terre Haute, Indiana - TERRE HAUTE - Alan Keith Fisher, 79, passed away after a sudden brief illness on December 30, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Alan was born on March 4, 1946 to Clifford and Blanche (Reising) Fisher in Terre Haute, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident there. He was a graduate of Wiley High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from Indiana State University. Alan was a teacher at Consolidated Elementary Schools in West Terre Haute for over 40 years. He was an avid ISU fan, attending the Sycamores basketball games faithfully. He loved to travel, visiting all 50 states in his lifetime. He enjoyed time spent with family on holidays and was the one to bring the pies for dessert, something that will be greatly missed. He also enjoyed time spent and a good meal with his close friends. Alan was preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers (Charles, Orren, Gene, and Orville) and two sisters (Evelyn and Helen). He is survived by his sister, Marlene, of Greenwood, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews. He attended Cross Lane Community Church in Terre Haute. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.
