On March 27, 2017, Zachary Ryan Caruso, 31, a beloved family man and sports car aficionado, passed away at his home with loved ones by his side. Zachary had a profound impact on everyone who knew him. He was a role model and an all-around stand-up guy with a smile to last a lifetime. Family and friends would tell you about his calming demeanor, warm personality, contagious smile, and love for his wife, family, and dog.
After graduating from Terre Haute South High School in 2004, Zachary attended the University of Northwestern Ohio and began working in Florida shortly after graduating. He moved to Minneapolis in 2012 to work at Nth Moto.
Zachary was diagnosed with stage IV sarcoma cancer in January 2017; two months after learning he and his wife were expecting their first child. With the support of his family, he fought cancer head on and with the utmost integrity. Never losing his sense of humor, Zachary persevered keeping a positive attitude through surgeries, treatment and time at home.
He was a wonderful man, a fantastic son, a loved grandson, a joy to his aunts and uncles, a great big brother, the oldest of many cousins, a loving husband, a loyal friend to everyone he knew and although an expectant father, he would have been the best. Zachary is solemnly missed, but lives on in our hearts and through his daughter.
Zachary, we will do as you wish, not to mourn you, but to celebrate your life to the best of our abilities and not take our lives for granted.
Please join us Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 2 until 6 p.m. at The Ohio Building in Terre Haute to celebrate the beautiful life of Zachary Ryan.
