Wilma M. Sellers, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Oct. 5, 2017, in her residence. She was born in West Terre Haute, on Nov. 18, 1934, to John Akers and Bessie Walker Akers.
She was a former member of Maplewood Christian Church, a graduate of Valley High School and IVY Tech State College graduating with a degree as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Job's Daughters, and loved gardening and reading Amish Books. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed traveling to Branson, Mo., many times with her husband. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Pete" Sellers of Terre Haute, whom she married April 28, 1990; two daughters, Kathy Johnson of Indianapolis and Jody Stewart of Nashville, Tenn.; and a stepson, Russell Sellers of Columbus, Ohio. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Raymond Johnson, Stewart Johnson and Madison Stewart; as well as two great-grandchildren, Chloe Johnson and Daisy Johnson.
Services are Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St., Terre Haute. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
