Stephen Henry Hiatt IV, 36, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in Union Hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1981, in Terre Haute, to Rebecca Held and Stephen Hiatt III.
He graduated from North High School in 1999. He had many friends at school including his best friends, John Payne and Eric Blackburn, whom he was still very close too.
He was employed at Kleptz Restaurant as head cook in the kitchen and was very loyal employee and enjoy the people he worked with. Stephen's passion other than his family was playing guitar that was self-taught, listening to a variety of genres of music, a great love of dogs and most recently lost his buddy, Duke, who was a rescue dog from Terre Haute Humane Shelter. He recently purchased a motorcycle that he was very proud of and was fixing it up to be able to ride this summer.
He is survived by his wife, Alyssa Hiatt; son, Jayzen Davis; his parents, Becky Held and her husband Greg and Stephen Henry Hiatt III and his wife Bonnie; grandparents, Ralph and Charlotte Taylor, Eleanor and George Long, Stephen Henry Hiatt Jr. and Mary Lou Hiatt; brother, Kevin Love and his wife Brianna; sister, Stephanie Hiatt; stepbrothers, Robbie Held, Michael Held, Dustin Held, Nicholas Held, and Butch Auler; and stepsister, Leslie Auler; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 4 p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, with Pastor Scott Longyear officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home Saturday.
