Ruth Ann Morlan, 84, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017. She was born on Jan. 10, 1933, in Terre Haute, to J. Wilbur Roberts and Eva N. Yeager Roberts.
Ruth had been employed at the Fort Benjamin Harrison Payroll Center in Indianapolis, and had been a member of Calvary Temple in Indianapolis and the Order of Eastern Star. Ruth was an avid bowler who gave up the game at the age of 83, due to her loss of sight.
She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Eva N. McClintock; her son, James L. Morlan; three brothers, John Paul Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, and Gordon Roberts; and two sisters, Susie Conley and Yvonne Haynes.
Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Rogers of Terre Haute; a sister, Mary Messerschmidt of Rockford, Ill.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 24, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastors Rick Swan and Dennis Ticen officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at:
