Phyllis A. Krantz, 94, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, in Southwood Nursing Home surrounded by family. She was born Jan. 11, 1923, to Charles Coleman and Anna Waldbeiser Coleman.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Krantz, who died in September 2011; and her three sisters, Olive Francis, Mary Wooley and Norma Watts.
Phyllis is survived by two sons, Michael Bruce Krantz (Beth) in Houston and David Krantz (Jackie); daughter, Ruth Chrisman; grandchildren, Jennifer Chrisman, Melissa Chrisman and significant other Robert Matherly, all of Terre Haute, Jessica Callahan (Andy) of Mobile Ala., Elizabeth Rock (Chris) of Chicago, and Jordyn Krantz (Joesph Miller); and two great-grandchildren, William Matherly and Brighton Hauser.
Phyllis was a member of Mount Pleasant Church. She attended Mount Pleasant's group called Primetime, as well as Lunch Bunch, and was once a member of Honey Creek Home Makers. Her passions were gardening and cooking.
Visitation for Phyllis will be Tuesday Aug. 22, 2017, from 1 until 3 p.m. with services starting at 3 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Homes, 85 East Springhill Drive, with Pastors Rick Swan and Dennis Ticen officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made at either the 14th and Chestnut Community Center or Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
