Odus Leroy Cheesman Jr., 75, of Riley, passed away at 12:57 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1941, in West Terre Haute, to Odus Leroy Cheesman Sr. and Virginia L. Martin Cheesman.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Judith "Judy" I. Brock Cheesman; four children, Pamela R. Duckett and her husband Michael T. Duckett, Angela G. Sampson and her husband Chet A. Sampson, Thomas W. Cheesman, and Craig S. Cheesman Sr. and his wife Linda M. Cheesman; three stepchildren, Annaliesa Drake, Donald L. Rogers and his wife Esther, and Mark A. Cobb; three brothers, Floyd Cheesman and his wife Margaret, George Cheesman and his wife Terry, and Mark Cheesman and his wife Lillian; two sisters, Jenny and her husband Terry and Roxanne Cheesman; a sister-in-law, Alice Cheesman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Odus Leroy Cheesman Sr.; his mother, Virginia L. Martin Cheesman Cahoon; and a brother, Michael Cheesman.
Lee served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing and billiards.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Saturday.
