Nancy E. Hilton, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away on July 22, 2017, in her residence. Born in Terre Haute, on Jan. 24, 1936, to Nida Smith Hodgers and Aubrey Hodgers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Thomas Hodgers.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Hilton Sr.; one sister, Betty Williams of Batavia, Ill.; three sons, Robert Hilton Jr. and his wife Myrna of Terre Haute, Lyle Hilton and his wife Jane of Sebastian, Fla., and Mitchell Hilton of Indianapolis; one daughter, Marta Bonatz and husband Paul of Key Largo, Fla.; three grandchildren, James Hilton and his wife Jennifer of Anderson, Beth Judge and her husband Adam of Greenwood, and Roxanne Hilton of Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren, Mathieu and Arthur Hilton of Anderson, and Maddison, Liv, and Jack Judge of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a member of the Town and Country Home Ec. Club, serving a term as president. Nancy was an avid tennis player for many years and also enjoyed golfing. In addition to managing the office for her husband's construction company, as well as other family businesses, she was a school bus driver and retired with a 25 year accident free record. Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy.
Nancy will be cremated with a private internment. There will be a public celebration of life on Aug. 12, 2017, at 1 p.m. at 3935 Ian Drive, Fruitridge Park Subdivison, Terre Haute.
