CLINTON - Max L. Foltz, 85, of Clinton, died June 10, 2017, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Clinton, to Paul Foltz and Hazel Walther Foltz.
He had been a cement mason, worked at Zigler Coal Company, and had been a school bus driver for South Vermillion School Corporation. He was a charter member of the Wayside United Methodist Church. He was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Max was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and attended many South Vermillion High School sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth (Esther) Foltz, Dale (Dorothy) Foltz, and Donald (Jean) Foltz; a sister, Eleanor (Jack) Murray; and a sister-in-law, Frieda Foltz.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shoemaker Foltz of Clinton; children, Randy and Brenda Foltz of Marietta, Ga., Vickie and Bob Peperak of Cayuga, Cindi and Keith Pruett of Clinton, and Dirk and Anna Foltz of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Brandy Bonomo, Lindsay Brown, Joe and Carissa Peperak, Paul Foltz, Kristin Foltz, Alex Foltz, Ben Foltz, and Zach Foltz; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Bonomo and Gracie Brown.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wayside United Methodist Church. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with, the Rev. Terry Jeffers officiating.
