MARSHALL, Ill. - Mae DeMumbrum, 105, of Marshall, Ill., passed away at 9 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, in the Burnsides Community Care Center at Marshall.
She was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Indiana, the daughter of Henry and Myrtie Clark Thompson.
Surviving are her children, Shelby Hughes, Betty Speros, Glenn (Dianne) DeMumbrum, Carol (Harold) Lacy, Barbara DeMumbrum and Ed DeMumbrum; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lucy Moore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel DeMumbrum; a daughter, Mary Minnick; daughter-in-law, Nancy DeMumbrum; sons-in-law, Samuel Speros, Loren Minnick and Dean Hughes; four sisters; and four brothers.
Services in honor of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
