Louise Fagg, 87, of Brazil, Ind., passed away at Regional Hospital on March 23, 2017, and went to her Heavenly Home.
Louise was born April 8, 1929, in Clay County, Ind., the daughter of Arthur "Lloyd" Butt and Verna Catherine (Dierdorff) Butt. She graduated from Staunton High School with the class of 1947 as the valedictorian of the class. She married Hubert Fagg on Easter Sunday, March 28, 1948. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Louise was also a 50+-year member of the Modern Mrs. Home Extension Club.
She enjoyed cooking, especially baking, and was an award-winning pie baker. She adored her family and loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Louise will be remembered for her infectious grin and endearing personality; she was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hubert; and a brother, Virgil Butts.
She is survived by six children: Byron Fagg and wife, Ruth E., of Salem, Ind.; Cathy Rodgers and husband, Gary, of Brazil, Ind.; Joanie Mitchell and husband, Jack, of Brazil, Ind.; Amy Finchum and husband, Kipp, of Greenwood, Ind.; Jamie Treash and husband, Bob, of Plainfield, Ind.; and David Felling of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Carole (Jason) Clodfelter, Laura (Jason) Temple, Brian (Amanda) Rodgers, Jeff (Nicki) Mitchell, Julie (Soup) Campbell, Jason (Laura) Mitchell, Jenna (Darin) Moon, Jacob Finchum, Addyson Finchum, Zac Treash, Tori Treash and Charlize Felling; great-grandchildren, Allison, Lauren, Kaden, Brody, Gabriel, Olivia, Sammi, Eli, Emery, Andi and Greyson; a brother, Bill Butt of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Mary (Steve) Youtz of Commerce Township, Mich.; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Butts of Brazil, Ind.; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, Ind., from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.
