Leonard "Lennie"'s Story
BRAZIL - Leonard "Lennie" M. Reeves, 56, of Brazil, passed away at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis, July 2, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer. Lennie was born in Terre Haute, on Sept. 15, 1960, the son of Robert L. and Mary Ann (Hurst) Reeves.
Lennie attended Terre Haute South High School through his junior year. His family moved to Florida where he graduated from high school. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1984. He married Ellen Leonard on Oct. 11, 1986. Lennie worked for the City of New Port Richey from 1985 to 2002. He and Ellen moved to Clay County in 2004. Lennie gained employment with Great Dane shortly thereafter.
In his free time he enjoyed playing golf, watching Sprint Car and NASCAR and collecting model trains.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Ann Reeves; and a sister, Margaret Christine "Chrissy" Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Reeves of Brazil; a daughter, Rachel Lillian Reeves of Brazil; three grandchildren, Lillian Robinson, Jerome Robinson and Jevean Robinson; and a brother, Robert Mitchell Reeves.
