Frances Vivian Anderson, 92, of Terre Haute, Indiana, formerly of Farmersburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Meadows Manor East.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1924, in Dugger, Indiana, the daughter of Elmer Rooksberry and Hallie (Bercaw) Rooksberry. Frances was a lifelong homemaker and a member of Farmersburg Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school, and helped any way she could in the church. Frances also helped many community seniors sign up for Meals on Wheels in Farmersburg.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Lee Anderson, who passed away on Aug. 2, 2000; brother, James Rooksberry; four sisters, Berniece Baker, Dorothy Boone, Helen Collenbaugh and Shirley Rickert; and two sons-in-law, Wayne Snarski and Curtis Culver.
Survivors include a son, Clarence (Linda) Anderson of Crystal Lake, Illinois; four daughters, Evalina Snarski (Miguel Fonseca) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Virginia (Jerry) Huston of Sullivan, Indiana, Lorena Culver of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Marcia (Gregory) Carter of Terre Haute, Indiana; brother, Charles Rooksberry of Port St. Lucie, Florida; stepbrother, Wallace Cooksey of Palestine, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana, with Zachary McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Brust Funeral Home.
