Donald Lee "Little D" Powers, 46, of Farmersburg, passed away April 18, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Donnie was born Dec. 17, 1970, in Terre Haute, to Donald Powers and Donna Judson Powers.
Donnie was a 1989 graduate of Terre Haute South. He was a member of Farmers Chapel Church. Truck driving was his passion and he never met a stranger. He owned and operated Don Powers Trucking for 24 years.
Donnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Rose Powers and Burrell and Mary Judson.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Michelle Turner Powers, whom he married March 18, 1989; his sons, Fred Powers (Taylor Lock) and Brandon Powers (Jessica Best); two grandchildren, Jullian Best and Jaxson Powers. He also is survived by his brother, Kerry Powers (Becky); two sisters, Dawn Shroyer (Kirk) and Marilyn Fagg (Jerry); in-laws, John and Donna Beasley and Gary Turner; sister-in-law, Jennifer Miller (Ed); brother-in-law, Dan Turner (Marlene); stepsisters-in-law, Gina, Sarah and Lisa; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, April 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
