Delores Jean Wrightsman, 88, of Bloomington, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, in her daughter's home. She was born Oct. 6, 1928, in West Terre Haute, to Ralph August Robinson and Mary Jane McCullough Robinson. She was retired as a licensed practical nurse at Bloomington Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Jim) Minnich of Marshall, Ill., and Carol (Tim) Stepp of Dennison, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Jane Mason of Texas and Janet (Zeb) Rush of Bloomfield; three sisters, Arlene (Dick) Clark of Marshall, Judy (Steve) Geheb of Lafayette, and Rita (Dave) Hipps of Sweetwater, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Clifford A. Wrightsman; a son, Laurel Medley; a brother, Alfred Robinson; two sisters, Wanda Beck and Doyne Fuller; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou South; a stepgranddaughter, Jeannie Rush; and a great-great-grandson, Maverick.
Memberships include the Free Methodist Church in Bloomington and the Town and Country Home Extension. Jean also had attended the Dunlap Methodist Church in Dennison. She along with husband Cliff and often other family members spent every summer for 40 plus years in the Smoky Mountains at Dark Island Campground in Townsend, Tenn.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Green & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, with Pastor Mel Nead officiating; entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
