Cheryl Ann Staley Wells, 61, of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:31 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Union Hospital after a courageous nine year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a retired pre-school teacher. She was born June 28, 1956, in Terre Haute, to Rex Arthur Staley and Gladys (Gardner) Staley.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Dan Wells; a daughter, Nicole Romas and husband Matt of Brazil; sons, Jason Wilkinson and wife Tricia of Indianapolis and Ryan Wilkinson and wife Sarah of Brazil; stepdaughter, Jenna Adams and husband Cody of Little Rock, Ark.; stepsons, Matthew Wells of Little Rock and Mitchell Wells of Jonesboro, Ark.; a brother, David Staley and wife Melodie of Brazil; and grandchildren, Isabelle Romas, Alexandria Romas, Annastasia Romas and Ridley Wilkinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Rex Arthur Staley Jr.
She was a member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church and a graduate of Indiana State University. Cheryl also enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and her dog, Barkley.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 4 until 7 p.m in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bernie Jackson officiating.
