Calvin's Story

Calvin Larison passed away on April 16, 2017, at the exact age of 90. He was born on April 16, 1927, in Clay County, to Everett G. Larison and Alta Nees Larison.
Calvin served in the United States Army. He was a member of Riley American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars. Calvin also was a 48-year member of Valley of Terre Haute Scottish Rite and a 50-year member of Riley Masonic Lodge 390.
He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Faye (Tague) Larison; son, Mark Larison (Susan); daughter, Dara Stakeman (Randy); grandchildren, Adam Stakeman, Neil Stakeman (Kimberly), Leslie Stakeman, Nick Larison (Jen) and Michael Larison (Charlene Garrow); great-grandchildren, Owen Stakeman, Layla Stakeman, Isaac Stakeman, Charlie Stakeman, Jace Larison, Jack Stakeman, Stratton Stakeman and Olivia Larison; nephews, Don Larrison (Connie) and Larry Larrison (Jennie); and cousin, Lela Myers Copeland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Larrison; sister-in-law, Charlotte Larrison; and cousins, Harold Myers and Lola Myers Agen.
Funeral services are scheduled for noon Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute. Pastor Jeff Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time. Riley American Legion will conduct military honors. Riley Masonic Lodge 390 will conduct Masonic services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made at:
