Brent Basham, 55, of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on Sept. 15, 2017. Brent's valiant fight against pancreatic cancer began March 2017 and ended in Hospice of the Valley, with his parents, brother and sister-in-law at his bedside. He was devoted to his family, friends, fitness and his start-up IT company.
Brent was a man of many passions including running, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, music and exercise. He is best remembered for his bright smile, huge heart and his undying love for his precious son and family.
Brent is survived by his son, Jeremy Richard Basham; his parents, Del and Bonnie Anderson; sisters, Lori Austin (Roger), and Lisa Doran; brothers, Scott Basham (Stacy), Kenny Basham (Sandra); and step-siblings, Debra Wolniak, Jennifer Becwar and Kevin Anderson. Brent was a beloved uncle to nine nieces, Brittany, Brianne, Brooklyn, Nicole, Ashley, Lindsay, Lacey, Ashley, and Daria; and four nephews, Joshua, Trevor, Danny and Alex. He is also survived by 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; his aunts, Bobbi Weisbach and Gloria Kruzan (Dan);uncles, Ron Bilyou and Robert Mann; and many beloved cousins.
His father, Everett Basham three aunts and one uncle preceded him in death. In accordance with Brent's wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please donate to Hospice of the Valley, 9435 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345-6479.
