Barbara Hamilton, 84, of Sullivan, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Sullivan County, Sept. 4, 1932, to Noel Pigg Sr. and Eva Mae (Critchfield) Pigg.
She was a 1950 graduate of Union High School, had attended the Dugger Christian Church, and started a family with her late husband, Albert Hamilton, who preceded her in death. Barbara had worked for the Southwest Sullivan School Corporation, was a loving mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. She also was preceded by her parents; a sister, Norma Hicks; and son-in-law, Junior Bond.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Kim) Hamilton of Sullivan; daughters, Kim Hamilton of Sullivan and Deborah Bond of Oaktown; brothers, Noel Pigg Jr. of Linton, Larry (Debbie) pigg of Dugger, Joe (Vickie) of Sullivan and Ronnie (Kathy) of Dugger; a sister, Judy (Ray) Brenton of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Stacy Hamilton and Halee (Justin) Sluder; and great-grandchildren, Ava Hamilton and Gavin Hamilton.
Services for Barbara will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 5, 2017, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
