Warren A.'s Story
Warren Anton "Tony" Jenkins, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. in Westminster Village. Tony was retired electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 725 and a retired electrician at the Putnamville Correctional Facility. He was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Terre Haute to Rollin V. Jenkins and Willaminea "Minnie" (Wickhorst) Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann (Lucas) Jenkins; a daughter, Kathleen Ann Farr (James) of Terre Haute; a son, Tony L. Jenkins (Margaret) of McHenry, Ill.; sisters, Wilma Roman and Margaret Lee; a brother, Jim Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Frankowick, Harriett Jenkins and Sue Hammons; and a brother, Richard Jenkins.
Tony was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of IBEW Local 725.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, from 4 until 8 p.m. in Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with funeral services on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., with Mark Grayless officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military honors provided by the Vigo County Veteran Honor Guard.
