ROBINSON, Ill. - Troy Lee Maus, 54, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, peacefully at his home, after years of affliction with Multiple Sclerosis.
Troy was born Sept. 22, 1962, in Robinson, the son of Robert Lee and Connie (Helvie) Maus. He graduated from Casey Township High School, the class of 1980, in Casey.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran having served from October 1984 to November 1996. He was a staff sergeant with B Co. 1st Satcom BTN.
Troy is survived by his parents; Robert Lee and Connie Maus of Punta Gorda; two daughters, Michelle Lynn and Kevin Jones of Liberty Hill, Texas, and Britteny Dawn Smith of Pasadena, Md.; eight grandchildren, Kendall, Kaci, Klayton, Karson, Kyler, Kaleb, and Kade Jones, and Jocelyn Taurone; brother, Robert Shannon and Debbie Maus of Kansas, Ill.; sister, Jill Michelle and Scott Alier of Trilla; and nephew, RJ Alier; friends, John Sullivan and Ben Hartman of Port Charlotte, Fla., who were like family and wonderful healthcare attendants for over 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lee and Kate Maus of Robinson; and maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Deloris Helvie of Robinson.
Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. CDT Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Kirk Chapel Cemetery, in Robinson. Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, assisted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Paralyzed Veterans of America Fund, with envelopes available at Pulliam Funeral Home, 1005 W.
