Susan K. Leslie

March 01, 1943 - December 23, 2018

Susan "Susie" K. Leslie, 75, of Southern Clay County, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ while staying at Westminster Village, on Dec. 23, 2018. Susie was born on March 1, 1943, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Ross) Green.
She graduated from Cory High School and attended ISU for a short period of time. Susie ended her career working at ISU as the finance coordinator for the Athletic Department. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, painting, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Susie was a member of The Cornerstone Connection Church of Clay City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Green; and a sister Betty Gillum.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Wells and husband Brian of Cory; and Robert "Bobby" Leslie and wife Darcy of Coal City; grandchildren, Brandon Wells and wife Emily, Whitney Hunt and husband Shawn, Kayla Wells, Jeffrey Kennedy and wife Autumn, Chris Kennedy, Tyler Lang and Peter Ruef; great-grandchildren, Nolan Wells, Zachary Wells, Carter Hunt, and Emerson Hunt; two brothers, George Green and wife Cynthia Ann of Cory and Joe Green and wife June of Riley; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East Eighth Street, Clay City, on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home, on Friday, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Chris Lee officiating.
