JASONVILLE - Steven Brent Sexton, 65, of Jasonville, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, in his residence. He was born March 11, 1952, in Linton, to Robert Sexton and Delores (Walters) Sexton.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean (Mayfield) Sexton of Jasonville, whom he married on March 11, 2017; mother, Delores "Dode" Sexton of Jasonville; children, Dr. Krista Sexton-Cox (Dr. Richard Bryan) of Linton, Brent Allen Sexton of Jasonville, Landon Wayne Sexton of Jasonville, Kenneth Wayne Hardwick of Bonita Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah, Bradyn, Alexis, Amza, Ashley, Cory; brother, Gary Sexton of Washington, Ind.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Steve had worked in his earlier years at Hulman & Company and then worked at Pfizer as a welder until his retirement. He enjoyed working on cars, building hot rods, racing go-carts and riding motorcycles.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 S. Meridian St., Jasonville, Ind. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cox Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Messmer and Pastor Dick Smith officiating.
Graveside committal services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Ind. Contact online at:
