Sherra Kay Templeton

Sherra Kay Templeton, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 27, 1936, in Sullivan County, to Leo M. Halberstadt and Gertrude I. (Drake) Halberstadt.
Sherra enjoyed word searches, playing solitaire, and was an avid IU Basketball fan. She will be truly missed.
Sherra is survived by her children, Walter E. Templeton and wife Marlene, Joann Plant and husband Dick, and Steven Templeton; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Templeton, Brooke Templeton, Jeremy (Sarah) Templeton, Brandon (Ashley) Templeton, Chris (Sara) Ramsey, Shannon Ramsey, Sara (Rodney) Conn, and Steven (Emily) Templeton; stepgrandchildren, Velvet (Ed) Mason and Naomi Derrick; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter E. Templeton Sr.; and a brother, Ralph Halberstadt.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at the funeral home. Sherra will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at:
