Rosemary Timmons
December 20, 1948 - April 03, 2018
In 1975, she married Robert Timmons from Gary, Ind., who preceded her in death in 2016.
She is survived by her three children, Rose (Jeff) Berg of Aventura, Fla., Victor Timmons of Universal, and Michelle Timmons-Hoyt of Chicago; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Candice, Cassidy, and Cari; great-granddaughter, Brynleigh; great-grandson, Easton; brothers, Walter (Loretta) Bolek of Aurora, Ill., and Donny (Sharon) Bolek of Surprise, Ariz.; sister, Maryann Gonzalez (late Frank) of Chandler, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
A highly-educated and successful business and career woman; she was employed by J.C. Penney as a manager and hair stylist from 1981 to 1992. During this time, she really enjoyed developing her stylists and growing the business and the team. She then moved on from that position to obtain her bachelor's and master degrees from Indiana State University in Spanish translation. She even traveled to Costa Rica in a student exchange program. Rosemary became an entrepreneur and started her own translation business, Universal Hispanic Translation, and for several years, she assisted both Vigo and Vermillion County Courts with cases until retiring in 2016.
One of her greatest passions was dogs, particularly Alaskan Malamutes. She and her late husband, Bob, rescued several in their lifetime and gave them wonderful lives.
She also is survived by two beautiful rescues, Sarge, a Malamute, and Rissaa, a Hybrid Wolf, who will now be lovingly cared for by her son, Victor.
She also loved spending time with her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosemary and her late husband, Bob, loved to visit Wine Country, especially in the St. Louis area and Canada, making the trips at least once a year. They also made frequent visits to Niagara Falls, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas. Bob and Rosemary enjoyed weekend trips over the years to see their daughters in Indianapolis and Chicago.
Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton, on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. Prayer service to take place at 7:30 p.m. with Father Varghese Maliakkal officiating. In lieu of flowers, you may also donate to any of the following: American Heart Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or The Humane Society, Rosemary's beloved causes.
