Rosemary Willen Query, 85, of Coal City, passed away at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in her residence with her husband by her side. She was a loving mother and wife of 65 years to her husband, Clyde Query. She was born in Coal City on May 21, 1932, to Loy Willen and Esther Propst Willen, and was one of eight children.
Rosemary loved reading books and enjoyed cooking and sewing and especially enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 1950 graduate of Patricksburg High School and a 75-year member of Beech United Methodist Church.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Clyde Query, whom she married May 10, 1952; and her three sons, Marlon Query and wife Diane of Brazil, Tim Query and wife Madeya of New Mexico, and Dan Query and wife Jean of North Carolina. Also surviving are six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. Eighth St. Clay City, on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Terry Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Cemetery near Coal City. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
