Rosella Sanders, 85, of Brazil, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. She was born May 17, 1932, in Vigo County, to Oscar and Eva (Shaffer) Hooker.
Rosella is survived by her three daughters, Marsha Mason and husband David of Brazil, Kathy Haase and husband Kenneth of Mount Grove, Mo., and Karen Haase and husband Bill of Rockville; two sisters, Shirley McLin and Mary Loudermilk, both of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law, Bob Hansen of Brazil; a daughter-in-law, Karen Sanders; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Kendall M. Sanders; a son, Kendall Marvin Sanders Jr.; three brothers; and three sisters.
Rosella loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially when she was working in her yard. She had a big heart for animals and was always taking care of stray cats and dogs. Rosella was a kind, compassionate, and generous soul who would help anyone.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Lilly officiating.
