Rickey D. Wilson, 64, of New Goshen, died at 1:31 p.m. Oct. 6, 2017, in Union Hospital Terre Haute. He was born July 6, 1953, in Vincennes, to Douglas Wilson and Eva Mae Compton Wilson.
He was retired from the Terre Haute Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters 157 and a member of the Maryland Community Church.
Rick was a loving, devoted husband, son, brother and uncle. He was greatly adored by his wife of 31 years and their son. He will be greatly missed. His family and friend's memories will forever by treasured. He will be remembered as a blessing by everyone's life he touched. His genuine heart brought happiness, love, and laughter to all those around him. He's leaving a legacy of compassion, kindness, caring, and was a memorable blast to be around.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Larry Wilson; and his oldest son, Jay Braun.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Wallace Wilson of New Goshen; his mother, Eva Mae Wilson of Terre Haute; one son, Matthew Wilson of New Goshen; two sisters, Janet Dunn of Delphi, and Linda Duby of Terre Haute; special nieces and nephews, Marcy and Jared Wilson, John Dunn, Julie Hawn, Erica Lewis, Austin Haun, Brenton Haun, Tanner Wilson, Landon Wilson, Kristi Duby and her son Parker, and Katie Edwardson; several other nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Lo; and three brothers-in-law, Jimmie, Leroy, and Clyde.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 5:30 p.m. at Frist Funeral Home with a service at 5:30 p.m. with the Rev. Aaron McCarty officiating. Online condolences may be made at:
