HANOVER - Pam entered this life on November 17, 1950, in Terre Haute, IN. She was the loving daughter of the late, Virgil and Violet Poindexter Lonaker. She was a 1968 graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School and later attended IU Southeast. On May 10, 1969, she was united in marriage to Homer David Morrison at the 8th Avenue Baptist Church in Terre Haute, IN. This happy union of 48 years was blessed with a son, Tim. She had worked as an instructional assistant with the Special Services Unit at the Austin Middle School, Johnson Township School, and the Madison State Hospital for 16 years. She had previously worked in Quality Control at the Marble Hill Nuclear Site for two years. Pam was a devoted wife, loving mom and Mamaw.
She loved to go camping, enjoyed cooking, making jewelry, Hanover Beach, boating on the Ohio River, Jet Skiing and fishing. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed people. She held membership in the 8th Avenue Baptist Church and in Tri Kappa where she served as president. She helped with the Regatta Pageant for many years through Tri Kappa. She could grow anything green and was proud to be a certified master gardener with Purdue.
Pam died suddenly on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 9:28 a.m. in the ER at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN.
Pam will be missed by her husband of 48 years, H. David Morrison of Hanover; her son, Tim Morrison of Greensburg; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Morrison; her grandsons, Tyler Morrison, Bryce Morrison; her brothers, Jerry Archer of Greencastle, Ron Archer of Phoenix; her brother-in-law, Mike Morrison and his wife, Kim of Terre Haute; her sister-in-law, Caroline Stultz and her husband, John of Sullivan; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Lonaker, her mother, Violet Poindexter Lonaker, and her grandmother, Anna Brewer.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., by the Rev. Melissa Englehart at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, IN.
