Norma Jean Minger
Norma lived life fully and vibrantly. She loved her family, her cat Tiger, music and dancing, water and the ocean, birds and animals, travel and the outdoors. Norma loved to have a good time. She enjoyed talking with people. Unpretentious in every way, she could have a real, authentic, vulnerable conversation with anyone who was willing.
Her life was rich with family and friends. An Avon lady for 50 years, she made the most of what she had. Her life was full of family gatherings, pool parties, travel, lots of live music and dancing at the Moose Lodge and in other local venues like The Cabin, where her favorite, Brad Anderson would sing.
She was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, sister, woman and person. She took care of herself by eating well, walking, riding bikes, swimming and taking care of her skin!
She was preceded in death by her parents. She married the love of her life, John "Jack" Thompson Minger in 1950 and they had four children. Jack preceded her in death in 1977 at the early age of 49. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Jack McCammon who passed in 1996, her brother, James "Jimmy" Croll in 2013, her eldest daughter, Peggy Grinley, in October 2008, her youngest daughter, Deborah Minger in May, 2018 and several special dogs and cats.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Sally Boaz and husband Sam, her son, Jimmy Minger and wife Robin, her grandson, Jason Grinley and wife Denise, grandson Daniel Minger and his girlfriend Carly Ramey, her granddaughter, Michelle Kerr, her grandson, Michael Boaz and wife Jesika Gunter Boaz, her great-granddaughters Zuri and Fiona Boaz, four siblings, Clarence Croll, JoAnn Croll, Shirley Kunz and Frank Croll as well as many cousins.
