Norma Jean Chervenko, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday July 21, 2017. She was born on Dec. 14, 1928, in Terre Haute, to Adrian Gobin and Nellie Hayes Gobin.
Norma was a member of the Hungarian Hall. She loved to knit, crochet and sew for her family. She also enjoyed Word Search puzzles and having her nails painted.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Chervenko Sr.; a brother, Jack Gobin; a sister, Janeann Ferch; and a beloved granddaughter, Jeana Lunsford.
Surviving are her children, Richard Meredith and wife Janice of Elmwood, Ill., Frank Chervenko Jr. and wife Robin of Hobart, and Laura Lunsford and husband, Wayne of Clinton; grandchildren, Michelle Bertke and husband Robert, Holly Meredith, Richard E. Meredith, Brooke Miller and husband Scott, Ashlee Kessler and husband Adam, Nathan Lunsford and wife Elyssa; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Norma Jean and her beloved husband Frank will be laid at rest together at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.
