Muriel June Thompson, 85, of Sullivan, slipped into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017. She was born on June 22, 1931, in Oella, Md., to George Clements and Hazel (Burkert) Clements.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Thompson; her three brothers, Ronald Clements Sr., Wilmer Clements and Phillip Clements; granddaughter, Chantal "JoJo" Kimberlin; and great-grandson, Wesley Jakob Thompson.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck (Doris) Thompson of Graysville and Irving (Tammy) Thompson of Dodd Bridge; three daughters, Sandy (John) Kinman of Danville, Cindy (Jay) Slater of Sullivan and Marty Shott (Steve Warnick) of Shelburn; grandchildren, Keppy (Charles) Boone, Heather Falconbury, Jessie (Will) Adolf, Ashlee (Adam) Myers, Kristen (Matt) Burleson, Ryan Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Miranda (Cooper) Hofmann and Jackson Shott; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Delbert Clements, Maryland, Tom Clements Sr., South Carolina and David Clements, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Holmes Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Bradley Ray Wood officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery.
