Mildred Jane Cooprider was born on Oct. 24, 1922, in Waukegan, Ill., to Walter Stinson and Myrtle "Timpe" Robinson Stinson. Jane passed away peacefully in her 96th year surrounded by family at home on Jan. 24, 2018.
Jane found pleasure in gardening, loving on her cat, Foster, working puzzles, sewing, and playing cards. If she wasn't doing those things, Jane could be found working alongside her chef son-in-law slinging pots in the dish sink and icing cookies, well into her 90s. Her quick wit and delightful prayers of grace will always be remembered. Everyone who met Jane was enamored by her sweetness and she loved being called "mother" by many. Jane's sparking blue eyes reflected one of her favorite sayings, "There's not a cloud in the sky."
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Max.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Cooprider (Alan Bernstein); son, Brad Cooprider (Robin); granddaughters, Hannah Cooprider (Dennis) and Emily Gornall (Josh); and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Grace.
She was a member of Oregon Baptist Church and a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Pimento O.E.S.
