Mary Lou James, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away Sept. 29, 2017, in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born March 29, 1925, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Elmer Ryall and Martha (Nichols) Ryall.
Mary was a member of Home Economics Club, OES of West Terre Haute, and was originally a member of the Rosedale OES. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and wood crafting. Mary also was a member of the Sandcut Firehouse Auxiliary. Her husband and her, were owners of James Grocery in Sandcut. She is survived by her son, Frank James; daughters, Earlene James, Bille Ann Drinkard, Kathleen Loudermilk (Johnny) and Patty Cesinger (George); grandchildren, Mary Lockhart (Johnny), Doug Lockhart Jr. (Heidi), Ronald Quintaine Jr., William W. Drinkard, Jennifer Conn (Randy), Dana Loudermilk (KJ), Evan Loudermilk, Lindsay Walker (Aaron), Jamie Hoesman (Clint), John Cesinger (Leslie), Darcy Watson (Darrell), and Travis James; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life in 1993, her husband, William E. James; her parents; and siblings, Madeline Craft and Elmer Ryall.
Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for the care they provided to Mary. Funeral services will be private. Greiner Funeral Home has been entrusted with care and arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
