Martha G. Karanovich, 90. of Clinton, passed away Feb. 26, 2018, in Terre Haute. Born in Clinton to Dominic Pesavento and Mary Trunko Pesavento.
Martha retired from the former Stevenson's Lumber Company in Clinton after working for many years. She graduated from Clinton High School class of 1945, was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Clinton, American Legion Auxiliary Post 140, Clinton.
She married Wayne Karanovich in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers. James and John Pesavento; and two sisters, Valeria Newton and Mary Barker.
Survivors include three sons, Steve (Judy) Karanovich of Terre Haute, Mike Karanovich of Clinton and Paul (Patty) Karanovich of Clinton; five grandchildren, Stephen Karanovich, Scott (Brittany) Karanovich, Hope (Brandon) Kelsheimer, Rodney (Kathy) Clark, and Shantrell Bates; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Wesley of Marshall, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Giovanini Funeral Home, in Clinton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, with Pastor Charles Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton. Memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
