Mark Alan Lemmon passed away Sunday at home in Winchester, Va., after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Mark was born on June 20, 1953, the son of the late Robert and Lela Lemmon.
His wife of 37 years, Kathy Lemmon; one son, Bobby Lemmon (Rebecca) of Frederick, Md.; one daughter, Stacy Lemmon of Winchester and one grandson, Kellan survive him. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are brother, Bruce Lemmon (Cindy) of Brazil, Ind.; sisters, Janet Lemmon Cline (Stu) of Charleston, S.C; Carolyn Lemmon Smith (Jim) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and loving nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1971 and Indiana State University in 1975. He spent his 30 plus years career as plant controller and chief financial officer for New World Pasta in Winchester.
Mark was loved by his whole family, to include aunts, uncles and cousins, and by many dear friends. We will remember your sense of humor and your deep devotion to family, Mark. You inspired us to the end and you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
