Marjorie (Brewer) Hale, 93, of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Union Hospital. She was born in Greene County, on Sept. 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Dr. Stanley and Ollie (Williams) Brewer.
Marjorie was a graduate of Indiana State Teacher's College. She was a teacher for 32 years and loved every minute of it. She enjoyed reading about history, gardening and working outdoors, however, her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Jeffrey) Kixmiller of West Terre Haute; grandsons, Craig (Samantha) Kixmiller and Jared (Lori) Kixmiller, both of Fishers; granddaughter, Emily (Jacob) Klosinski of South Bend; sisters, Vera Brewer of Sandborn and Doris Shoultz-Creek of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Stephen Hale; and sisters, Dixie Lee Brewer, Wilma (Brewer) Pearce and Donna (Brewer) Creek.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. at Sandborn United Methodist Church, 207 Vine St., Sandborn, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, with Pastor Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Stafford Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
