Marie Lucille Galbraith, 83, of Brazil, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Springhill Village, in Terre Haute. She was born in Vigo County, on Aug. 2, 1934, to Ray Huffman and Dorothy Howald Huffman.
Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, crocheting, and listening to music. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Lindsey and husband Robert of Clinton and Glenda Galbraith of Brazil; a son, James Galbraith and wife Lorena of Coal City. Marie also is survived by her grandchildren, Josh, Jeffrey, Jason, Heather, Logan, Ashley, James, Carol, Thomas, Sarah, Mary, Allison, Gracey, and Isabella; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition, she also is survived by her siblings, Beverly Yates, Betty Butts, Bill Huffman and wife Vonnie, Henry Huffman, and Floyd Huffman.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Wayne Galbraith, whom she married Aug. 2, 1956; son, Jeff Galbraith; a grandson, Benjamin; and a sister, Gladys Whitchurch.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. with Bishop Darren Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Clearview Cemetery. To light a candle in her memory, please visit:
