M. Kay Bronnert, 78, of Columbus, died 9:15 a.m. Sunday, June 23, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Kay was born in Terre Haute, July 31, 1938, the daughter of Mirle L. and Leona Helton Nichols.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Bronnert; daughters, Kelly Bronnert and Karen (Dave) Shepherd, both of Columbus; Craig Calmer of Hope, who was like a son to her; sister, Marjorie Clark of Columbus; grandson, Nicholas (Harley) Shepherd of Columbus; great-grandchild, Shayley Shepherd of Columbus.
A mass of Christian burial will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father James Brockmeier officiating. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Friday Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street and from 9 a.m. Saturday until services at the church. Entombment will be in Garland Brook Mausoleum.
