Lois's Story

Lois Ann Wetli Massinon, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:13 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2017, in Providence Health Care. She was born July 14, 1932, to Bernard Wetli and Josephine (Happ) Wetli, in Fowler.
She was a long time member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Terre Haute. She retired from the Vigo County Courthouse. She also worked for the Benton Community School Corporation as a bookkeeper. Lois loved racing, her favorites being the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400. She also loved the Chicago Cubs, 40s big band music, and her beloved cat, Tommy. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida during the colder months in Indiana. She loved to party and spend time with friends and family whenever possible.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Pete" Massinon; a sister, Bernadette Flook; and a brother, Dale Wetli.
She is survived by a stepson, Bobby (Karen) Massinon; a sister, Shirley Farrell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian burial for Lois will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at noon, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2322 N 13th ½ St., Terre Haute. A rosary service will begin at 9:45 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until mass at the church. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements.
