Lawrence 'Fat''s Story
Lawrence "Fat" Edward Easton Sr., 87, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born March 23, 1930, in Terre Haute, to Jesse and Geneva (Henry) Easton. He married Katherine "Kat" Cook on Oct. 5, 1953.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Ross and husband Ralph and Susan Isles; daughter-in-law, Kim Easton; sister, Geneva Irene Van Holson; grandchildren, Brian Benjamin, Amy Busiere, Abby Dierdorf, Mike Pastorius, Jamie Key and Amber Easton; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine "Kat" Easton; son, Larry Easton Jr.; brothers, Bob Easton and Vern Easton; sister, Nadine Tomlinson; and granddaughter, Lee Ann Ross.
Fat proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a draftsman for Hercules. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a kind, generous man who was well-liked by everyone who knew him. He is reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, his beloved wife, Katherine.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
