Larry J. Cornelius, age 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dawn, and the mother of his five children, Becky Crowe. His loving family consists of his daughters, Rebecca Dawn Leuken, Barbara Davis (Jeremy), Kristen Hutchins and Katy Sharkey (Gabriel); and son, Stephen.
He is survived by his 91-year-old mother, Betty Cornelius. He also leaves four sisters, Carol Nasser (George), Linda, Debbie Melvin (Joe), Angie Horstman (Ken) and Pam Wright; and his two brothers, Bill Goucher (Arlene) and Wayne Cornelius (Kathy).
He was preceded in death by his father, Rex; sister, Diana; and brother, David Cornelius.
He has 15 grandchildren who were his greatest treasures. He has several nieces and nephews, and two special great-nephews and a great-niece.
Larry was a 1968 graduate of Wiley High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and later was stationed in Germany.
Upon completion of his time in the military he attended Ivy Tech and was employed in the heating and cooling business to support his family.
Larry was a very humble, proud and determined man, and considered his large family to be his pot of gold and crown jewels.
