Kenneth David Anstead Sr., 72, of Brazil, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at Union Hospital. He was born on Sept. 12, 1944, to Gerald Kenneth and Sylvia Irene (Harden) Anstead. His wife, Judith Kay Anstead (Johnson), preceded him in death on July 24, 2016.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Anstead Jr. (Pamela) and Gerald Anstead (Pauline); daughter, Cilicia Hatch (Andrew); his grandchildren, Desiree, Samantha and Charlotte Anstead, and Jonathan Hatch; his sisters, Shirley Cosner and Cilicia Frasier (Michael).
He also was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathleen Elwell, Beverly Duncan and Edie Lou Anstead; and brother, Lee Anstead.
Kenneth was a retired truck driver and dearly missed being on the open road in his later years. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed hours of bird watching with his wife. He loved and appreciated all animals, especially his many dogs over the years. Before his health declined, he was an avid gardener, enjoyed mushroom hunting, and fishing.
