John Terrence McNabb passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Jan. 25, 2018. He was born Feb. 26, 1945, in Terre Haute, to Patrick Wright McNabb Sr. and Dortha Truttier McNabb.
He is survived by his children, Kimberly Trosper (Wayne), Franklin Christenberry (Lori) and John McNabb (Robin); grandchildren, Cody Smith, Austin Christenberry, Tanner Christenberry, Dalton McKinney, Kassidy McKinney, and Savannah McKinney; his sister, Sally Johnson; nieces and nephews, Mike McNabb (Debra) Brad McNabb (Cathy ), Larry McNabb, Patrick McNabb, Jeannie Akers (Mark), David Johnson and Julie Johnson; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra McNabb; and two brothers, Patrick McNabb Jr. and Larry McNabb.
John proudly served for 32 years in the United States Military. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Indiana Air National Guard as an aircraft mechanic.
He was exceptional at golfing and playing pool and enjoyed many other activities. In his younger years, he played softball, enjoyed bowling as well as other organized sports and also loved to mushroom hunt and play euchre.
He was a member of The American Legion Post 104, Veterans of Foreign War Post 972, Murdock Racing Club and 40/8 Veterans Organization.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites by American Legion Post 104.
