John B. Brock


John B. Brock, 85, of Clinton, passed away peacefully with family by his side Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at Union hospital of Terre Haute.
He was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Clinton, Indiana, as the youngest child of Lola Marie Shannon Brock and William Franklin "Bill" Brock. He worked in many industries and at numerous jobs throughout his lifetime, retiring as a state highway maintenance driver after many years of service.
John proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, participating in two world cruises. He lived a full life that enjoyed hunting, gambling, working his daily puzzles, and most of all, telling stories.
John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Imogene and Della; and his brother, Edward.
Surviving are children, John Edward (Leann), Donna Ann, Vaughn William and Barbara Jo Rayce Sheppard, all of Clinton; grandchildren, Bailey (Dillon) Furry, Brooklyn (Nathaniel) Harrison of Clinton and Makenzi Brock of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Frist Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. Military honors will be performed.
A special thanks goes to Red, Judie and all of John's extended family at his home away from home in St. Bernice. Your friendship and support are truly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
