Johanna Turner DeLong, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 30, 2017, in Providence Healthcare. She was born Sept. 22, 1926, to Charles F. Britton and Ella Britton in Vigo County.
She attended Berean Baptist Church. In her youth, she loved camping.
She was preceded in death by her son, K. Ed Turner; her parents, Charles F. Britton and Ella Britton; siblings, Margaret Gehring, Dorothy Steadman, Wilma Blair, Ruby Lewzader, Charlotte Alder, Jack Britton, Cliff Britton, Robert Britton, Chuck Britton and Bill Britton.
She is survived by a son, Gary J. Turner and his wife Barbara; grandchildren, Jeff Turner, Jason Turner, Shawn Turner, M. Shane Turner and Christine Fisher; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Johanna will be Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N 13th Street, Terre Haute. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Lilly will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. The Elks Lodge 86 will host a memorial luncheon after services at the lodge. Online condolences can be made at:
