Jimmy's Story

Jimmy Dee Robinson, born Sept. 13, 1948, in Tulare, Calif., passed away of natural causes on Feb. 25, 2016, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Dickerson) Robinson; son, Jimmy Dee Robinson II and fiancee` June Baker of West Terre Haute; daughter, Kimberly (Robinson) Wilson of West Terre Haute; and son, Daniel Robinson and wife Mandy Robinson of Las Vegas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren including, Amanda Robinson, Sammi Robinson, Ashleigh Robinson, Parker Robinson, Courtney Robinson, Dominique Robinson, Destineigh Robinson, Jamilynn Wilson, Vickie Wilson and Brandon Robinson. Great-grandchildren include, Clayton Baker, Gunner Baker, Karli Hyatt and Ian Long II. He is survived by his brother, Ronnie Robinson of Oklahoma; and sisters, Betty and Bobbi Robinson of California.
Jimmy served as an honorable member of the U.S. Army from Dec. 12, 1967 to Oct. 20, 1972, with a SP5 Seargent rank. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea).
Graveside memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Bethesda Memorial Park; N. Thorpe Road, West Terre Haute, with Pastor Billy Joe Henry officiating and graveside military rites by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
