James's Story

James L. Price, 88, of Farmersburg, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan. He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Farmersburg, the son of Edward Lovell and Floy Octus (McGlone) Price.
James was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He worked at General Housewares for several years as a machinist. He loved to fly and raise homing pigeons. He was a 32nd Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Sullivan American Legion Post 139, Pigeon Club and former member of Farmersburg Fire Department.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret Flynn, Mary Esther Wilson and Jenny Cox; and two brothers, Charles Price and Stephen Price.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy (Carl) Hughbanks of Farmersburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel in Farmersburg, with the Rev. Don Ransford officiating and a military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan County VFW Post. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 1, 2017, at Brust Funeral Home and from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel in Farmersburg.
