Jack's Story

Text size

Jack Ray Reynolds, 85, was born at home on May 20, 1932, in Farmersburg. He died Jan. 17, 2018, Boynton Beach, Fla., after a six-week illness. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 - 1954.
He was a faithful and devoted husband for 60 years to Flora Ann Weddle who preceded him in death in 2012.
He was a very special grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He retired from IBM, where he was a technical writer. He loved life and was always there for any of us when we needed him.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam and (Allen) of West Virginia; his son, Craig and (Carole) of Terre Haute; his daughter, Shelley of Florida; his nine grandchildren, Amanda, Allen Jr., Brittany, Brooke, Candace, Cassidy, Jason, Taylor and Whitney; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one more on the way.
He lived his life in the way of a righteous man and he loved and was loved by all he met. His parting has left a void in our hearts but we have hope of being reunited with him in heaven someday.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in North Terre Haute.
