Jack's Story

Jack Warren Raubuch, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Monday morning, November 6, 2017 at Westminster Health & Rehabilitation. He was a retired teacher and principal having served at Carbon, Bridgeton, Deming and Davis Elementary Schools. Jack was born October 5, 1926 in Staunton, IN to George Raubuch and Gertie Nelson Raubuch.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Franz Raubuch; nieces and nephews, David Raubuck, Danny Raubuck (Karen), Molly Fountain (Marc) and Aimee Cobb (Cyle); great-nieces and great-nephews, Danielle Dunn, Zachary Raubuck, Amoke Capps, Jerob Raubuck, Andrew Raubuck, Sara Raubuck, Henry Fountain, Jack Fountain, Maxwell Cobb and Miles Cobb; and three sisters-in-law, Emma Irene Raubuck, Susan Franz and Donna Smith (E. Ricky). In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Cecelia Raubuck; five brothers, Curtis Edward Raubuck, Charles Eugene Raubuck, Robert Raubuck and two infant brothers, Roy and James Raubuck; and a nephew, Tom Raubuck.
Jack was a graduate of Staunton High School and received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana State Teachers College. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Army in the Pacific Theater. Jack and his wife, Nancy, were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church and had recently been attending St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:05 P.M., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in St. Benedict Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Martin Day, O.F.M. Conv. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by VFW Post #972. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon in the church.
